Ask what was discovered, where, how it changes the original scope, what alternatives exist, and whether work can pause safely for review. Record added or removed work, quantities, materials, price, payment, schedule effect, responsible provider, and authorization. Do not let a doorway conversation replace a written change that becomes part of the agreement.
